Piece a colony of colorful koalas using conventional patchwork techniques. No templates or paper piecing! A koala, which we commonly refer to as a bear, is actually a marsupial, not a bear.
Whatever you call it, this pattern makes an adorable quilt, featuring koalas are facing right and left on a tree trunk. While the trunk is brown and its leaves green, the koalas are brightly colored.
What is great about Elizabeth’s patterns is that you don’t have to be a paper piecer, or know how to sew in-set seams. Her techniques are conventional patchwork – no templates or paper piecing! And her patterns are known for offering good, clear, logical directions.
This quilt is made using fat eighths along with a background fabric, and a few assorted other quilting fabrics, 100% cotton, light weight quilting fabric.
